A brief introduction of Tehran Cohort Study was presented at the Asia Cohort Consortium (ACC) General Membership Meeting 2020 by Dr. Akbar Shafiee on Friday October 30th 2020. In this online meeting with more than 80 participants from all over the world, new cohorts that recently joined the consortium, including Tehran Cohort Study were introduced. In this presentation, the aims and methods of Tehran Cohort Study was described. Also the initial findings of the recruitment phase were presented.
ACC is a collaborative effort seeking to understand the relationship between genetics, environmental exposures, and the etiology of disease through the establishment of a cohort of at least one million healthy people around the world.
We hope that our collaboration with ACC could lead to exploration of specific research questions on our major topics.
